Are you worried your face might not be getting all the advantages you intend? You see, even though it’s easy to cleanse your skin properly, you’d be surprised how many fail. And what a difference it makes! Maybe you’ve already noticed the wonderful things Trienelle’s Daily Renewal Creme does for your skin. Here’s a quick review of the other half of a great skin care plan.
Ever
notice the layer of scum in the tub? You clean your face to get off the makeup, dirt and grime. So, the last thing you want to do is to leave a layer of soap scum on your face when youre done. Make sure you’re leaving your skin and pores clean… not blocked with residue. Never use soap to clean your face.
Use industrial cleaners for your tile floor…not your FACE! Read the label! Read the label! Read the label! Too many skin cleansers use harsh ingredients such as sodium lauryl sulfate or its cousin, sodium laureth sulfate. They’re great for cleaning a tile floor, but are far too harsh for a face… especially if you want to keep it youthful! You’ll want to look for cleansers that use more gentle ingredients, like “amphoteric” cleansers. Just remember, you can identify them when you see the letters –ampho- built into one of the cleanser’s primary ingredients. Also look for “taurate” or “glutamate” based cleansing agents, which are known for their mildness. You’re not a teenager any more, so don’t treat your skin like you are. Not everyone’s skin type is the same. Remember, as you age, the drier your skin usually becomes. And, it takes less “cleansing” to safely remove the grime and excess oils from dry skin than it does from oily skin. So, keep in mind, any product that promises to work for everyone runs the risk of over-stripping the oils of dry skin… or, on the other hand, might leave excess grime and oils on people with oily skin. Be sure to use a cleanser that’s matched to your skin, whether you tend toward oily or dry skin. For example, teens love Trienelle’s deep cleanser for oily skin…whereas mom often prefers the balanced formula for drier skin.
Old, dead skin needs help in letting go. Those old, dead skin cells that have worked their way to the surface need help letting go. So does the grime. What’s the solution? Using a soft cleansing sponge or cloth, gently massage the cleanser into your pre-moistened skin for one full minute. (That’s about as long as it takes to sing “America the Beautiful”.) The massaging action helps ease the dead cells off your skin’s surface.
Does your cleanser help keep moisture in your skin? Cleansing the skin can be a drying experience. Your skin’s natural barrier function helps keep moisture in your skin. But, in the process of cleansing, the barrier function can be damaged. The result? Your skin starts to shrivel. The good news is the barrier function can be helped by amino acids in your cleanser. It costs quite a bit to put these natural protein components into a cleanser, so most manufacturers don’t include them. Look for moisturizing amino acids like glycine, alanine, arginine, creatine or aspartate on the label.
Make it enjoyable! Face it… if it’s not enjoyable, you’re not going to keep it up morning and evening (as you should) are you? Some suggestions: make sure...
Don’t waste an expensive face cream on skin that’s not ready for it! If you use soap or the wrong cleanser, you can still have a layer of scum, grime or oil on your skin. That can really get in the way of absorbing the nutrients of your skin cream…and it’ll leave you disappointed with the results. Or, if you’ve stripped away the oils with an industrial-strength cleaner, even an effective face cream is going to have a hard time just getting back to square one. But, if you’ve done it right, your skin will feel fresh, clean and rejuvenated…ready for the good things in your face cream. Especially if it’s Trienelle! If you’re ready to see what a difference doing it right can make, it’s time to try Trienelle’s Cleansing Mousse. As you’ll see, it meets all the criteria for the perfect cleansing experience. Gentle cleansing…moisturizing amino acids…invigorating scent (or, if you prefer, non-scented)…and simply fun to use! Don’t
you think it’s time to see what great cleansing can do for your
face? The first step is to choose the right Trienelle cleanser for your
skin. If you have questions about which one is right for you, a knowledgeable
